From Tears to Smiles

Jessica came to the Center in tears. Having just found out she was pregnant, she had no idea what to do. Her first idea was to have an abortion, just make it all go away. She was the first in her family to go to college and she just couldn't mess that up.  She simply couldn't see how she could make any other choice. She sat and talked with her SCC advocate about all the different aspects of her situation and how each decision might affect her now and in the future. They discussed ways to overcome each barrier she faced.

At the end of the visit, she felt comfortable making the decision to keep her baby. She left with a smile and confidence knowing that with our help, she could continue her education and become the kind of parent she wants to be.

#GivingTuesdayNow is a global day of giving and unity that will take place on May 5, 2020, as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19. #GivingTuesdayNow is an opportunity for you to stand together with others in our community to use your individual power of generosity to connect and heal. The movement is currently focused on opportunities to give back to communities and causes in safe ways that allow for social connection and kindness even while practicing physical distancing. Why should you donate?

Jessica is just one of the many women seen at SCC every day facing this same decision. Happy endings for others like Jessica can't continue to happen without YOU! Savannah Care Center invites you to SAVE A LIFE Tuesday, May 5, 2020, by donating through our #GivingTuesdayNOW campaign. The women and men in the community that depend on our services need help more than ever during this Covid-19 pandemic. Many of them are facing a personal crisis in the midst of a global crisis. You can help them weather the storm and come out stronger and better positioned than ever before. Won't you make a small $10 or more donation now?

Your donation will be used to:

  1. support women and men facing unplanned pregnancy decisions by giving them the support they need to          choose life for their unborn child

  2. to provide material supplies such as diapers, formula, food, and clothing, much of which is unavailable to them right now

  3. to provide education on parenting so the cycle can be broken and they can receive the support they need to prosper and enjoy abundant life for their families.

Click on the donate button below, put #GTN in the comment box and SAVE A LIFE today.
